  • Investment Area 6.1 - Strategic Planning and Engagement

    Closing date

    This specific objective will reduce the legal and administrative barriers to cross-border co-operation through joint development and management of strategies; co-operation capacity building; and identification of solutions.

    It will result in the improved capacity for co-operation at strategic level in relevant sectors. Cross-border includes North/South and East/West as well as inclusion of partners from across the Island of Ireland, from Europe and globally.

  • Impact Report

    This Impact Report was commissioned to chart the legacy of the four PEACE programmes, as well as the INTERREG A and Transnational Programmes.

  • Investment Area 4.3 - Victims and Survivors

    Closing date

    The SEUPB are now accepting applications to the PEACEPLUS Programme, Investment Area 4.3 – Victims and Survivors. This Investment Area will contribute to the creation of a more cohesive society.  In the recognition of the needs of those who have suffered from the trauma of the troubles / conflict, the programme will develop the capacity for services to meet the needs of victims and survivors.  It will result in improved access to services by victims and survivors and enhanced understanding of the effects of the past troubles / conflict upon the present, in a manner which contributes to peace and reconciliation.
  • Investment Area 1.1 - Co-designed Local PEACEPLUS Action Plans

    Closing date

    Action Plans will be produced for each of the 17 local authority areas across the Programme Area.  These will be designed to complement the community planning structures introduced across the Programme Area.  The plans will be centred around three core themes:

    Local community regeneration and transformation;
    Thriving and peaceful communities; and
    Building respect for all cultural identities.
  • Investment Area 3.2 - PEACEPLUS Youth Programme

    Closing date

    The SEUPB are now accepting applications to the PEACEPLUS Programme, Investment Area 3.2 – The PEACEPLUS Youth Programme. This Investment Area will enhance the capacity of children and young people to form positive and effective relationships with others of a different background, develop their confidence and future potential and make a positive contribution to building a cohesive society. This is a capacity building programme for young people aged 14 to 24 years, who are disadvantaged excluded or marginalised, have deep social and emotional needs and are at risk of becoming involved in anti-social behaviour, violence or paramilitary activity.
  • Implementation Evaluation

    The implementation evaluation supports the smooth delivery of the programme by assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation mechanism established for the programme, including measures to reduce the administrative burden.

    The implementation evaluation covers both he PEACE IV and INTERREG VA Programme.
  • What makes a good application?

    All projects must have a cross-community and cross-border collaboration element, and they must be able to demonstrate peace impacts. This is key to the PEACEPLUS Programme.
  • Applying for Funding

    Applications for PEACEPLUS funding can be submitted by a wide range of organisations including local authorities, public sector bodies as well as voluntary and community sector organisations (subject to eligibility checks).

  • PEACE III Programme

    PEACE III introduced a more focused approach on reconciliation outcomes and on addressing issues of sectarianism and racism. This increased focus on reconciliation was based on the research into the meaning and definition of reconciliation that had been carried out as part of the PEACE II Programme. PEACE III also sought to introduce more streamlined delivery mechanisms.

    The Special EU Programmes Body is responsible for managing EU funding under the PEACEPLUS, PEACE IV and INTERREG VA cross-border programme to help build peace and prosperity.
