Reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful applicant will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational planning of financial, human resources, and information services within the Body. They will also take the lead on risk management and the framework of Corporate Governance within SEUPB and support the Body’s development and implementation of its corporate and annual business planning processes.



They will be responsible for all aspects of financial control for SEUPB, including statutory and regulatory requirements, financial reporting, and budget development, together with the Accounting Function within EU Programmes. They will supervise the Body’s Human Resources function and ensure the effective delivery of human resources services. They will also oversee the management of the Information Management (IM) and IT systems and future expansion and upgrade of the IT systems networks. They will also supervise corporate aspects of the Communications function within the Body.



Key aspects of the position are:

  • ​​​​​​​To ensure the development, implementation and evaluation of corporate services strategies for the provision of services and support that are responsive to client needs and are sufficiently dynamic to respond to changes in governmental direction and legislative change.
  • Responsibility for all aspects of the Financial Management of the Body.
  • Responsibility for the Human Resources function of the Body.
  • Responsibility for designing and implementing the framework for Corporate Governance.
  • Responsibility for the management of the Information Services of the Body.
  • Undertake the role of Certifying Authority for 2014-2020 EU Programmes and Accounting Function for the PEACEPLUS Programme; oversee all aspects of the Programme Finances.
  • Responsibility for corporate aspects of the Communications function of the Body.
  • Oversee all corporate procurement and public tendering.
  • Oversee the implementation of the fraud policy.
  • Ensure statutory compliance in all policy matters.
  • Estates management.
